A Texan Adventure

Spending 2 months in Texas has been an incredible experience! I came to San Antonio for Officer Basic Leadership Course (OBLC). It was my checkpoint I had to pass before going to Germany. Now, I had heard from predecessors all about what OBLC would be like. In my opinion, it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.

The friends I have made in San Antonio are wonderful people who share my passion to serve as a medical officer in the military. Some of them simply astound me and I can only wish to be as "squared away" as they are! OBLC was full of frustrations such as waiting to turn in weapons until 9pm in freezing rain. But it was also full of great adventures such as going to Austin to visit my friend Stephanie, Greune, TX to see the U.S.'s oldest dancehall, two-stepping at Cowboys, SeaWorld, lots of shopping, and lots of great Mexican food!

I feel READY now to go to Germany! I can't wait to see what God has in store for me next. My prayer is to grow in my nursing skills and be a fast learner! Right now I look forward to going home to visit family for Christmas!
